Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Export, PA is seeking a QA Calibration Specialist to manage calibration program and support daily QA operations. This onsite role collaborates with QA Lab, production, and external vendors to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining Gage Trak, training staff, participating in internal audits, and supporting ISO surveillance activities while upholding Watts values and continuous improvement.

It is a 1st shift (6:30 AM-3 PM) position, however, you may be asked to work a modified shift that would include some 2nd Shift hours on occasion. This role is onsite and is based Export, PA.Primary Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the Quality Assurance Calibration SystemIssue list of monthly calibration requirements, assure timely completion of the calibrations, and verify record completeness and accuracyCoordinate outside calibration services and related activities (testing, quotes, shipping, receiving)Maintain and assist in the optimization of the Gage Trak Calibration software/database/processManage the Quality Assurance and Production gage inventoryProvide training and coaching on inspection and calibration methodsMake decisions using detailed Acceptance Criteria and Product Specifications regarding quality of the parts/componentsProvide daily functional support to the QA Lab to resolve production, quality, safety, and equipment/gage related issuesa) Verify non-conformancesb) Support daily inspections and testing as requiredProvide support for continuous improvement and new product/process development projectsAssist with the maintenance of the Quality Business Systema) Update and recommend improvements to existing procedures and develop new proceduresb) Assist with the electronic document control for the Quality Department (QBS)c) Develop and improve inspection methodsd) Provide training on document/process changese) Manage the Internal Audit Process and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with current ISO Standardsf) Assist with external ISO surveillance auditsCertifications, Approvals and Registrations a) Support outside agency visits related to certifications by interacting with the auditor/inspector, reviewing certification, records, and listings b) Maintain all certifications, records, listings in electronic format c) Review and monitor parts and products to ensure compliance of product to regulatory body requirements along with conformance to all applicable standardsProvide support to the Returned Material Authorization Process as requiredParticipate in and conduct Material Review Board meetings as requiredAssume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manager, Quality or Company management.Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)Travel Requirements: MinimalRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDA minimum of 3+ years of experience with Quality Assurance Inspection, Methods, Quality Systems, or Manufacturing.Internal Auditor (ISO) certification required.Experience in basic Metrology and Calibration is required.Quality/Mechanical Lab experience is a plus.Understanding of inspection techniques and ability to use inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, CMM, microscope, height gages, etc.).Ability to read and interpret part/assembly drawings.Computer proficiency on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer).Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills are required.Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, drug screening, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.Preferred QualificationsA.S Degree—Manufacturing, Engineering, or technical discipline.ASQ Certifications (CMI, CQT, CQA) preferred.General Applicable Company CompetenciesCommitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.Punctuality and dependability.Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.Adherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.Working ConditionsWhile performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment.
