Job summary

Actus Nutrition is seeking aQuality Assurance Technician (Biotech) to perform laboratory tests, interpret results, and support GMP-compliant operations at our Wisconsin facility. The role involves sample preparation, data entry, and coordinating with management on product quality from development through production.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Pay is $22.00 per hour with opportunities to contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced biotech

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures.
• Experience in a food-grade or biotech manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret GMP/HACCP documents.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and interpret lab tests.
• Prepare samples for shipment to testing locations.
• Answer technical product questions from management.
• Perform data reporting and calculations from lab results.
• Troubleshoot lab issues and maintain equipment.
• Assist inventory control and ensure GMP compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct and interpret lab tests.
• Package and prepare samples for shipment to third party testing locations.
• Respond to internal calls from management team to answer technical product questions.
• Perform laboratory computations, leading to accurate data reporting.
• Troubleshoot lab issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance on all lab equipment.
• Assist inventory control process.
• Ensure all laboratory chemical MSDSs are reviewed and filed.
• Read and properly interpret documents such as lab results, GMP manuals, HACCP programs and procedure manuals.
• Solve practical problems and comfortably deal in high pressure situations.
• Possess the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral forms.
• Complete routine clerical work such as filing, checking, and data entry required information into the computer system.
• Follow plant and laboratory GMPs to maintain a clean work area.
• Advise operations associates to assure GMPs are followed in the plant.
• Perform environmental and product testing and communicate results to the plant and corporate management groups as needed.
• Send timely “Out of Specification” (OOS) notices as needed to internal and appropriate corporate management

• Desired: previous laboratory experience, preferably in a food grade manufacturing facility
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures
• Knowledge of computer software/programs
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
