Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician II to inspect products at multiple stages of production in Auburn, WA. The role includes CTQ audits, ECN reviews, and supporting line staff with process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in quality control in manufacturing, familiar with SPC, ISO/QMS, and precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers. Stack a robust QA mindset with teamwork on the floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or technical diploma in manufacturing, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Certification in quality control (e.g., Certified Quality Technician, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience in quality control/assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SPC and data analysis tools in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges for product inspection.
• Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality management systems (QMS).
• Experience with blueprint reading, including specifications for window profiles and dimensions.
• Proficiency with quality control software and data entry tools.
• Attention to Detail, Problem-Solving, Communication, Data Analysis, Time Management.

Responsibilities

• Select products or materials for testing. Test product/material for quality characteristics, such as dimensions, performance, mechanical operation and appearance.
• Record test data, prepare graphs/charts, interpret engineering drawings, and note nature and magnitude of non-conformity.
• Enter data into personal computer. Write description of problem. Prepare Quarantine forms as required. Complete a comprehensive daily tie-in to all of Fabrication Management.
• Set up and perform destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts or products.
