Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Auburn, WA is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician II to test and inspect products and materials across the production process. You will audit CTQ processes, review ECNs, and monitor machinery output.

You will also assist with training line employees and apply root-cause analysis to quality issues, while documenting results and collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or technical diploma in manufacturing, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Certification in quality control (e.g., Certified Quality Technician, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality control/assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SPC and data analysis tools in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001) and QMS.
• Experience with blueprint reading for window profiles and dimensions.
• Proficiency with QC software and data entry tools.
• Attention to detail; problem solving; communication; data analysis; time management.
• Computer skills: MS Office.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds; manufacturing floor exposure.

Responsibilities

• Test product/material for quality characteristics (dimensions, performance, operation).
• Record data, prepare graphs/charts, interpret drawings; note non-conformities.
• Enter data into PC; write problem descriptions; prepare quarantine forms.
• Set up and perform destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts or products.
