PEER Chain Company in Waukegan, IL is seeking a quality inspector to perform, evaluate, report, and maintain testing results for supplier products to ensure ANSI/ASME compliance. You will conduct mechanical testing to verify physical characteristics and support quality control, process optimization, and product development.

Qualifications

• Ability to use precision measuring tools including micrometers and calipers.
• Experience with mechanical testing.
• Ability to read schematics & engineering drawings.
• Ability to write and maintain inspection/test reports.
• Attention to detail.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Test and document products in compliance with ANSI/ASME process requirements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and diagnose product failures.
• Evaluate and identify customer samples.
• Conduct evaluations, analyses, and tests of factory and competitor products.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and provide internal technical support.
• Coordinate and track outsource testing results as needed for product validation.
