Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking a Quality Assurance Tech for the 2nd shift in Madison, WI to help maintain food quality and safety. The role requires attention to detail, bilingual English/Spanish, and a proactive approach.

You will perform inspections, document GMP logs, verify labeling and packaging, and support end-of-run procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong math and computer aptitude essential.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Experience in quality control within manufacturing is a plus.
• GMP and food safety knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational inspections (Pre-Run).
• Verify proper cleaning and sanitation of production lines.
• Conduct in-process inspections hourly or as required.
• Perform End of Run procedures.
• Monitor inclusions and raw materials during production.
• Verify product weight, fill height, and cutting quality.
• Perform sensory evaluations (taste tests).
• Ensure proper sealing and packaging.
• Verify correct code dates and packaging materials (including allergens on packaging).
• Monitor line and inclusion temperatures.
• Perform pH and overrun testing when required.
• Check and adjust metal detectors and X-ray equipment.
• Confirm allergen testing has been completed when required.
• Verify scales and critical equipment.
• Monitor compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Complete daily documentation (GMP logs, calibrations, test records) in a timely manner.
• Fill out hourly inspection reports.
• Take verification photos and videos when required.
• Collect and manage retention and customer samples.
