Rohrer Corporation is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the standardization of quality processes across our Illinois site. You will partner with Plant Quality teams to develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and work instructions, while managing gage control and compliance with requirements.

Responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, conducting audits, driving corrective actions, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure top quality at optimal cost.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years of quality management experience.
  • Experience hosting customer audits and regulatory inspections preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and communicate quality alerts and process changes.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and support external audits.
  • Lead corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Participate in Production & Quality Steering Committee meetings.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Rohrer Procurement to improve quality.
  • Aim for highest quality at lowest cost and support LEAN Six Sigma.

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS

Reporting to the Plant Manager this role is responsible for:

  • Reviewing & standardizing company-wide quality processes in partnership with Plant Quality teams.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Manage gage control for the site.
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Creates documents & communicates process modifications as needed. i.e. Quality Alerts
  • Conduct internal quality audits as required.
  • Performs and verify corrective actions are implemented and effective.
  • Actively participates in Production & Quality Steering Committee meetings
  • Reviews routine Quality performance data & initiates efforts to address systemic problems
  • Interacts directly with customers on complaint resolution
  • Performs audits and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections of plants to ensure compliance with Rohrer procedures and industry best practices
  • Works with suppliers directly & indirectly through Rohrer Procurement & Supplier Quality functions
  • Acts to align company goals by continually reviewing processes to create overall operating efficiencies in obtaining the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost
  • Participated in special projects & performs other duties as assigned

  • Interacts directly with customers on complaint resolution
  • Performs audits and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections of plants to ensure compliance with Rohrer procedures and industry best practices

Qualifications And Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5+ years’ quality management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to field questions quickly & clearly from auditors & outside parties
  • Proficient with use of precision measuring tools
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of calibration
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Demonstrated advanced skill in communication, presentation, writing & organizational ability
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge and experience within LEAN Six Sigma
Available Shift & Compensation
  • Monday - Friday
  • 1st Shift Available, Overtime as needed

Compensation for this position is up to $28.85 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
