The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees quality assurance processes during their shift in a high-volume warehouse. Responsibilities include ensuring operations meet quality standards, attention to detail, effective communication, familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Yard Management Systems (YMS), leading hourly employees, and providing coaching and feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance:
   • Monitor and enforce quality standards.
   • Conduct inspections and audits for compliance.
   • Address quality issues promptly with corrective actions.
   • Perform checks on shipments for accuracy and compliance.
   • Inspect products for damage and labeling errors.
2. Attention to Detail:
   • Maintain records of QA activities.
   • Ensure documentation accuracy.
   • Verify inventory and shipment integrity.
   • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts.
3. Communication:
   • Facilitate effective communication between teams.
   • Train staff on QA protocols.
   • Report on quality metrics.
   • Collaborate to resolve issues in real-time.
4. Systems Familiarity:
   • Use WMS to track inventory.
   • Operate YMS for goods movement.
   • Utilize systems effectively for QA.
5. People Leadership:
   • Supervise and lead hourly staff.
   • Foster a positive work environment.
   • Conduct performance evaluations.
   • Address personnel issues professionally.
   • Provide coaching for skill development.
6. Additional Responsibilities:
   • Document and report QA issues.
   • Assist in root cause analysis.
   • Audit pick, pack, and shipping processes.
   • Maintain inspection records.
   • Ensure safety and sanitation standards.
   • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
   • Support other warehouse functions as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse quality assurance.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with WMS and YMS.
• Leadership experience managing hourly staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read labels and quality standards.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
