Austin Allen Inc is seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead a quality team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Location is Ann Arbor, MI with no remote work.

Salary ranges from $80,000 to $85,000 plus bonus, benefits, and paid relocation. The ideal candidate will coach technicians, oversee lab testing, and drive corrective actions to uphold food safety and quality throughout production.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in QA for food manufacturing.
• Hands-on laboratory and microbial testing experience.
• Ability to use data to drive corrective actions.
• Experience with HACCP/SQF/PCQI is a plus.

We're seeking a proactive QA Supervisor to lead a quality team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position requires someone who can make sound decisions, stand behind them with facts and data, and build strong partnerships with production.

What You'll Do As The QA Supervisor

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality Technicians.
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, ensuring quality and food safety standards are met.
• Oversee laboratory testing, including microbial analysis, pH, Brix, water activity, fats, and solids.
• Monitor product quality, investigate issues, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with production and other departments to resolve concerns while confidently advocating for quality.
• Support food safety programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We Are Looking For In The QA Supervisor

• Quality assurance leadership experience in food manufacturing, preferably dairy.
• Hands-on laboratory and microbiological testing experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the confidence to challenge decisions using facts and data.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• HACCP, SQF, PCQI certification, or food safety audit experience is a plus.
• Flexibility to support production teams across shifts as needed.
