Confidential Beverage Manufacturer in the Silver Spring, MD area is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the 1st shift. The role leads QA in the laboratory and on the production floor to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

You will coach staff, review data, support audits, and collaborate with plant departments to improve processes and maintain consistent quality. The position requires 1–3 years in QA within manufacturing and shift flexibility for the first shift.

Qualificações

• Associate degree or comparable college or technical education, with a background in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of relevant work experience.
• Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food industry practices.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiological or aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC).
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, organization, and team development skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Availability to work first shift with flexibility for additional coverage when needed.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Production and other departments to resolve quality concerns and support food safety practices.
• Oversee assigned quality management programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Maintain compliance with product specifications, regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and certification standards.
• Review laboratory data for accuracy, investigate exceptions, and identify trends requiring corrective action.
• Recommend process improvements based on testing results and quality performance.
• Prepare for and assist with regulatory, certification, customer, and internal audits.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that strengthen quality and customer satisfaction.

Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000, depending on experience
Schedule: First shift. Flexibility for additional shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Silver Spring area.

This role leads quality personnel in the laboratory and on the production floor, ensuring products meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. • Experience with Microsoft Office, statistical software, SAP, and Kronos.

Work Environment

Work takes place in laboratory and manufacturing areas that may involve elevated noise, wet conditions, and significant temperature variations.
