Job summary

Eden Capital Careers in the Silver Spring area seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer. The role leads QA staff on the lab and production floor to ensure quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance, coaching the team and driving audits and continuous improvement.

You’ll partner with plant departments to review results, support process improvements, and maintain product quality during first shift operations with occasional extended coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable education in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or QA environment.
• Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food industry practices.
• Familiar with laboratory equipment and testing in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiological/aseptic techniques.
• Familiar with HPLC and GC.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, organization, and team development abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production setting.
• Physically able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to work first shift with flexibility for additional coverage as needed.

Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000, depending on experience
Schedule: First shift. Flexibility for additional shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Silver Spring area.

This role leads quality personnel in the laboratory and on the production floor, ensuring products meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable college or technical education, with a background in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or a related discipline.

• One to three years of relevant work experience.

• Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food industry practices.

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiological or aseptic techniques.

• Familiarity with liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC).

• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication, organization, and team development skills.

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk the manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds.

• Availability to work first shift with flexibility for additional coverage when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or relevant experience in biology, chemistry, food science, or health sciences.

• Experience with Microsoft Office, statistical software, SAP, and Kronos.

Work Environment

Work takes place in laboratory and manufacturing areas that may involve elevated noise, wet conditions, and significant temperature variations.
