This confidential beverage manufacturer in the Silver Spring area is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the first shift. You will lead QA personnel on the lab and production floor, ensure products meet quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements, and coach your team.

You will review lab results, support audits, partner with plant departments to improve processes, oversee QA programs, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable technical education in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food industry practices.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiological or aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC).
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, organization, and team development skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk the manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to work first shift with flexibility for additional coverage when needed.

Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000, depending on experience
Schedule: First shift. Flexibility for additional shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs.

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Silver Spring area.

This role leads quality personnel in the laboratory and on the production floor, ensuring products meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. You’ll coach your team, review laboratory results, support audits, and partner with plant departments to improve processes and maintain consistent product quality.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or comparable college or technical education, with a background in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or a related discipline.

One to three years of relevant work experience.

Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food industry practices.

Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiological or aseptic techniques.

Familiarity with liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC).

Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
