Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily quality assurance activities, including inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with food safety standards (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, and company policies).
  • Lead, train, and mentor QA team members to promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure product quality, conduct root cause analyses on non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain and review quality records, audit documentation, and compliance reports to ensure accuracy and readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Partner with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve product consistency and performance.
  • Support third‑party, customer, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution of findings.
Required Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience in food manufacturing quality assurance).

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety regulations, and quality management systems (SQF or similar).
  • Proven leadership and team development skills, with the ability to coach and motivate diverse teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management or ERP systems.
