Job summary

Lineage in McAllen, TX, is seeking a hands-on Safety Supervisor to drive safety, quality, productivity, and employee development in a fast-paced food production operation. You will lead audits, manage incidents, and partner with leadership to ensure compliance and continuous improvement while mentoring a close-knit team.

This role requires strong supervisory experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work in varying temps. Weekly duties and occasional weekend audits may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of safety experience in a logistics, industrial, or related environment.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills with emphasis on guiding and developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity.
• Ensure safe practices outlined by the safety program, standard operating procedures and standard work instructions are followed.
• Inspect, audit and verify inbound/outbound product to ensure quality standards are met.
• Ensure accuracy and legal obligations of all labels are met.
• Complete daily walkthrough system checks.
• Manage complaint and non-conformance issues, including root cause and corrective actions.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe throughout shift; following weekly and master sanitation schedule.
• May need to ensure all glass controls are managed effectively.
• Identify facility training and support needs on quality systems, policies, procedures and processes.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM , with occasional weekend work depending on audits or customer inspection requests.

Administer the Lineage Safety Program at the facility level to ensure team members are working in a safe, controlled, and risk‑free environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain equipment calibration checks
• Identify facility training and support needs on quality systems, policies, procedures and processes

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma (Secondary School) or GED
• 2 years’ safety experience in a logistics, industrial, or related environment
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated supervisory skills with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
