Weckworth Mfg., Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor based in Haysville, Kansas. The successful candidate will support the Quality Assurance Manager by maintaining and improving quality systems to ensure customer expectations are met.

This role involves supervising quality inspectors, managing customer returns, and utilizing quality tools to ensure consistent product quality. Experience in quality management and knowledge of ISO standards are essential for consideration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive responsible experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Experienced in blueprint reading as it relates to this role.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as ISO 9001 and AS 9100.

Quality Assurance Supervisor

Summary

Quality Supervisor position is a key role supporting the Quality Assurance Manager with primary responsibilities to maintain, update, develop and improve quality systems to ensure our customers’ expectations are met.

Responsibilities

The Quality Supervisor will supervise Quality inspectors, work with production to meet deadlines, handle customer returns and perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

• Serve as the “Second in Command” with the Quality Organization providing leadership and support for the four key pillars of our Quality Program: Quality Systems, Inspection of finished goods, New Product Development Launch Process, OTD/Safety.
• Serve as the SOP Administrator for creating, revising or removing Standard Operating Procedures from our environment.
• Investigate & determine root causes out of specification product and customer complaints and recommend corrective measures.
• Coordinate with the audit team and vendor to implement corrective action. Maintain a historical record of all customer complaints and corrective action and report findings to the Manager.
• Supervise the team of Quality Assurance Inspectors ensuring product is being tested based on the appropriate Analytical Method and report issues timely and accurately. This work supports ongoing Production as well as new product qualifications.
• Coordinate the activities of any outside Analytical Laboratories including providing samples, defining the specific tests to be conducted, reviewing the laboratory reports, and communicating the test results internally regarding whether the material passed or failed to meet the acceptance criteria.
• Maintain consistent quality standards for manufacturing to meet customer needs.
• Performance management of Quality Department.
• Manage customer returns.
• Utilize basic quality tools: flow charts, check sheets, cause and effect diagrams, graphs, and control charts to ensure data collection is valid, accurate and meaningful and utilized as the basis for recommendations.
• Provide feedback to manufacturing personnel based on customer comments, internal and external measurement status, and audit results.
• Other duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experienced in blueprint reading (a test will be administered during the interview).
• Quality Management experience required.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements: ISO 9001 & AS 9100.
• Minimum of five years of progressive responsible experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Results driven with a record of accomplishments.
• Continuous Improvement experience.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to work with traditional quality tools & methodology.
• Results oriented with a record of accomplishments.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers.
• Effective time management and attention to detail accuracy.

• Business Hours: Mon–Thu 6:30 am – 5:00 pm & Friday 7:30 am–11:30 am

Compensation

• $60‑70 k annually DOE
