Responsibilities
  • Review medical-legal reports following the employer's QA Best Practice Guidelines
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of all medical-legal reports
  • Ensure compliance with current California Labor Code and Case Law changes
  • Provide consultation to physicians regarding findings on impairment and disability
  • Assist in preparing physicians for depositions and review medical records
Qualifications
  • Experience with California Medical-Legal Workers' Compensation reporting
  • Strong proficiency in typing, word processing, formatting, and editing
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
  • Expertise in MS Word and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of AMA Guides (5th Edition) and California Labor codes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with AMA Guides (6th edition)
  • Experience in reviewing QME, AME, and IME reports
  • Strong ethical judgment and independent decision-making abilities
