MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc. in Lexington, NC is seeking a Quality Specialist to audit product and raw materials and advise production teams on sustainment and adjustments to meet customer requirements.

This role supports the 6S initiatives, participates in continuous improvement through the MasterBrand Production System, and collaborates with multiple departments to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualificações

• Read tape measures, measure parts, read order tickets.
• Identify cabinet parts necessary to assemble doors, drawers and/or complete cabinets by species, size and style.
• Knowledge of procedures for the safe and proper handling of hazardous chemicals and materials.
• Understanding of decimal/fraction/metric calculation and conversion.
• Learn to identify cabinet profiles and colors involved in cabinet manufacturing.
• Utilizes electronic email & document management software, and imaging / measurement equipment.

Responsabilidades

• In-person attendance.
• Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process raw materials or finished goods.
• Receive and inspect raw materials.
• Test & interpret results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
• Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform visual inspections of finished products.
• Serve as a technical liaison between quality control and other departments, vendors, or contractors.
• Train others including operators from production departments.
• Will use general hand tools (such as hammers) and office supplies (such as staplers).
• Supports, maintains and sustains 6S initiatives.
• Supports Continuous Improvement by participating in and sustaining the MasterBrand Production System (MPS).
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
