Job summary

Ducommun, Inc. is seeking a Quality Specialist to ensure compliance with customer and internal quality requirements in a high-reliability manufacturing environment.

The role supports engineering and production to track quality performance metrics and drive root-cause investigations on complex aerospace, defense, and industrial components. The candidate will oversee inspection activities, interpret drawings to ensure conformance, manage nonconformances, and support CAPA initiatives.

Qualifications

• Familiar with AS9100 and customer specs.
• Technical degree or equivalent and relevant experience.
• 3–5 years in Quality Systems, inspection and products.
• Familiarity with CMMC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications correctly.
• Review inspection results, FAIRs and Test Result Reports.
• Lead root-cause analyses and CAPAs as needed.
• Coordinate MRB activities (use-as-is, repair, rework, scrap).
• Serve as primary contact for customers and suppliers on quality matters.
