Job summary

APM Manufacturing is seeking an entry-level Quality Assurance Specialist I in Orange, CA to support the company's Quality Management System and ensure compliance with internal procedures and aerospace standards.

You will assist with documentation control, audits, CAPA records, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with production, engineering, and inspection teams. This role provides hands-on training in AS9100 processes and quality metrics reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or aerospace environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and administration of the company's QMS.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace standards.
• Review quality documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with internal audits and support external audits by customers or cert bodies.
• Help track CAPA records and monitor quality metrics.
• Support document control activities including revision tracking and record retention.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and inspection to ensure quality requirements are met.

$24-$27/hr.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist I is responsible for supporting the company's quality management system and ensuring that manufacturing processes and products comply with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable aerospace industry standards. This entry-level role assists with documentation control, quality audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and administration of the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
• Assist in ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100
• Review quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and records for accuracy and compliance
• Assist with internal audits and support external audits conducted by customers or certification bodies
• Help track and maintain corrective and preventive action (CAPA) records
• Monitor and report quality metrics and performance indicators
• Assist in the investigation of nonconforming materials and quality issues
• Support document control activities including revision tracking and record retention
• Work with production, engineering, and inspection teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and followed
• Maintain quality records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality system enhancement initiatives
