Apm-Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist I to support the QMS, audits, and continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor in California. This entry-level role ensures adherence to AS9100 and customer requirements while coordinating with production and engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 0–2 years in quality or aerospace settings; associate/bachelor’s in quality or engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Assist in AS9100 and other aerospace standards compliance.
• Review quality documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Track CAPA records and action items.
• Monitor quality metrics and performance indicators.
• Investigate nonconforming materials and issues.
• Assist with document control and revision tracking.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and inspection teams.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist I is responsible for supporting the company’s quality management system and ensuring that manufacturing processes and products comply with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable aerospace industry standards. This entry-level role assists with documentation control, quality audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and administration of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Assist in ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
• Review quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and records for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with internal audits and support external audits conducted by customers or certification bodies.
• Help track and maintain corrective and preventive action (CAPA) records.
• Monitor and report quality metrics and performance indicators.
• Assist in the investigation of nonconforming materials and quality issues.
• Support document control activities including revision tracking and record retention.
• Work with production, engineering, and inspection teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and followed.
• Maintain quality records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality system enhancement initiatives.
