THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this crucial role, you will manage and coordinate facility patient abuse and patient rights complaint investigations. Work involves receiving allegations and complaints, analyzing facts, and assigning to the appropriate staff to investigate. This position coordinates facility-wide Quality Assurance activities as related to patient abuse investigations, grievances and database development to represent results. You will have the opportunity to coordinate the facility's interdisciplinary Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis teams to include monitoring and facilitating completion of identified corrective actions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Quality Assurance/Risk Management Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of professional experience as a member of a multiple disciplinary treatment team in a public or private health care facility and a bachelor's degree;or
  • Three years of clinical experience in a human services agency, including two years of administrative, evaluative, consultative or supervisory work in a health care program; and a bachelor's degree with major course work in social work, nursing, health care administration, behavioral sciences or a related field; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
