  • Verify that POVs are in safe and fully operational condition for transportation and handling.
  • Confirm Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs), record mileage, and measure tire tread depth on all wheels.
  • Measure vehicle dimensions, including ground clearance and overall size, to ensure compliance with transportation limitations.
  • Verify fuel and fluid levels meet shipment and storage requirements.
  • Inspect and inventory factory‑installed and aftermarket audio, video, and navigation equipment, including recording brand names and model numbers.
  • Inspect batteries for brand, voltage, condition, amperage, and manufacture year, and record findings on the GPC Storage Checklist.
  • Test vehicle systems including brakes, parking brake, clutch, air conditioning, and heater for operability.
  • Identify and report fluid leaks, damages, discrepancies, and unusual conditions to supervisors.
  • Plastic wrap keys, baby car seats, and other designated items for protection during shipment.

  • Mount and remove license plates as required.
  • Change or replace flat tires when necessary.
  • Safely drive, stage, park, and move vehicles throughout the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).
  • Load and unload shipping containers while maintaining safety standards.
  • Maintain inspection and staging areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Conduct final inspections and jointly review vehicle condition with customers during pickup.
