Qualifications

  • Must have basic computer proficiency including email and spreadsheet work
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection on aviation equipment
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications preferred
  • FAA certifications are a plus for the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality control on inspection support, and shipping/receiving inspection support.
  • Accurately interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, company specifications, sampling procedures, designs, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
  • Utilize precision tools and equipment with accuracy for testing and measurement of products.
  • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment capability.
  • Perform inspection activities within non-final production cells to verify work in progress complies with drawings, specs, and process requirements.
  • Validate proper completion of required manufacturing, assembly, and inspection steps before components advance.
  • Identify discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are implemented before progression of work.
  • Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality personnel to resolve quality issues and minimize delays.
  • Verify inspection records and documentation are properly completed for traceability.

Job description

Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide quality control on Inspection support, and shipping / receiving inspection support.
  • Accurately interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, company specifications, sampling procedures, designs, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Utilize precision tools and equipment with accuracy for testing and measurement of products.
  • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Inspection Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection activities within non‑final production cells to verify work in progress complies with engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and process requirements prior to final inspection.
  • Validate proper completion of required manufacturing, assembly, and inspection steps before components or assemblies advance to the next operation or cell.
  • Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies or nonconformances identified in non‑final cells and ensure corrective actions are implemented prior to progression of work.
  • Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality personnel to resolve quality issues and minimize production delays.
  • Verify parts, assemblies, and documentation are properly tagged, identified, and routed in accordance with internal quality procedures.
  • Ensure inspection records, travelers, routers, and supporting documentation are accurately completed and maintained for traceability.
  • Confirm inspection tools and measurement equipment used in non‑final cells are within calibration and appropriate for the inspection being performed.
  • Support efficient material flow while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

  • Must have Basic Computer Proficiency to include fundamental tasks such as email, word processing software, creating and maintaining spreadsheets in MS Excel and navigating Operating systems.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree in an aviation related field preferred
  • At least 1-year relevant aviation work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection required on aviation related equipment (airframe, powerplant, and or avionic)
  • Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred
