Job summary

Eclectic Products, Inc. (EPI) is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to establish, maintain and continuously improve the quality system and productivity in coordination with all EPI managers. The role focuses on delivering high-quality products while reducing waste and costs.

Required: a chemistry-related bachelor's degree, 2+ years in product formulation, and training in Quality System management; leadership of a quality system project at a chemical plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science.
• Minimum of 2 years of product formulation experience.
• Training in Quality System management.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading a Quality System construction and/or maintenance effort at a chemical manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Drive, maintain and continuously improve the Quality System.
• Look for ways to increase productivity with Managers/Supervisors.
• Supervise Quality Control Associate and QC Tech.
• Assist with problem solving as needed.
• Establish testing protocols and reference materials; manage external testing to ensure data quality.
• Answer technical service questions from customers and Sales personnel.
• Communicate with EPI and WVCO management.
• Conduct presentations and seminars to inform and educate employees.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.

Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to establish, maintain and continuously improve the quality system and the productivity in conjunction with all Managers of Eclectic Products, Inc. (EPI). The quality system responsibilities are done in a way that ensures consistent product of the highest quality and that makes process and/or product upgrades based on sound quality principles, so that EPI maximizes customer satisfaction, and minimizes waste and production costs.

Primary Duties:

• Drive, maintain and continuously improve the Quality System
• In conjunction with all Managers/Supervisors look for ways to increase productivity
• Supervisor Quality Control Associate and QC Tech
• Assist with problem solving as needed, or as requested by supervision.
• Establish testing protocols and define reference materials for that testing that can be performed under contract. Manage external testing to ensure that the data needed is the data obtained.
• Answer technical service questions from customers and Sales personnel as needed.
• Communicate regularly with EPI and Willamette Valley Company (WVCO) management.
• Conduct presentations and seminars as needed to inform and educate other employees, or as requested by management.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science.
• Minimum of 2 years of product formulation experience.
• Training in Quality System management.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading a QualitySystem construction and/or maintenance effort at a chemical manufacturing plant.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
