Job summary

RogersHood Apothecary in Arkansas is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the Quality Management System in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. You will ensure compliance with FDA regulations, food safety standards, and company quality requirements while driving continuous improvement across production operations.

The role requires 5–7 years of QA experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity, and knowledge of CFR 21 Parts 111 & 117, HACCP, and ISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
• 5–7 years QA experience in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food, or pharma manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years in QA supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR Parts 111 & 117, GMPs, HACCP, and ISO 22000/17025.
• Experience supporting or leading regulatory audits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Quality Management System in GMP and food safety compliance.
• Develop and deliver GMP and food safety training for production and QA staff.
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Review quality data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
• Lead investigations using 5-Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC methodologies.
• Oversee batch record reviews, CAPAs, deviations, and document control.
• Partner with Production to implement CAPAs and improve quality and efficiency.
• Support supplier qualification, evaluations, and corrective action follow-up.
• Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, food safety standards, and company quality requirements while driving continuous improvement across production operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with GMP and food safety regulations.
• Develop and deliver GMP and food safety training for production and QA personnel.
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Review quality data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
• Lead investigations using 5-Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC methodologies.
• Oversee batch record reviews, CAPAs, deviations, non-conformances, and document control.
• Partner with Production to implement corrective and preventive actions that improve quality and efficiency.
• Support supplier qualification, evaluations, and corrective action follow-up.
• Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Track KPIs and maintain accurate quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of Quality Assurance experience in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years in a QA supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR Parts 111 & 117, GMPs, HACCP, and ISO 22000/17025.
• Experience supporting or leading regulatory and customer audits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• HACCP Certification or equivalent food safety training.
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).

Skills

• Strong knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Analytical problem-solving with a data-driven approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production facility for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs and occasionally ladders.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and crouching during inspections and audits.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
