Quality Assurance Manager I

Job Description

Manage and coordinate all aspects of quality assurance activities with various levels of risk and complexity within a variety of scopes across a single site, multiple sites, and/or multiple customers. Confirm requests for quality support from the site and communicate policies and procedures. Be an expert regarding selected governmental regulations for the site(s). Act as a proactive liaison with customers for quality assurance across site(s). Develop, manage, and oversee site quality resources. Support global and cross-sector Quality and Regulatory initiatives as required. Support validated processes for regulated hardware, equipment, and software systems.

  1. Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the overall quality system, including management review, CAPA management, internal quality audits, quality self-assessments, change control, document control, and standard operating procedures/work instructions.
  2. Oversee the licenses, permits, and registration processes.
  3. Manage and oversee regulatory compliance regarding products handled and services performed at the site by assessing performance to cGxP, contracts (OSA, QAA/TA), and customer requirements; report results to executive management.
  4. Ensure systems and equipment are validated (if applicable) and change control processes are maintained.
  5. Hire, train, and develop quality associates.
  6. Monitor training and development of site associates to ensure compliance with processes and regulations.
  7. Coordinate with the continuous improvement team to focus and direct improvement activities and workshops.
  8. Review and provide recommendations on regulatory, customer, and third-party audits.
  9. Identify trends within quality assurance metrics for the organization.
  10. Serve as the primary customer contact for QA-related issues and initiatives as needed.
  11. Develop, distribute, and maintain regular management reports.
  12. Manage site suppliers and handle audits.
  13. Support business development and represent DHL in customer events and meetings as required.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Graduate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Certification related to quality control (e.g., RAC, Six Sigma) is preferred.
