Job summary

Anheuser-Busch in Los Angeles is seeking a Quality Assurance leader (BPM) to drive key quality initiatives across brewing operations. You will partner with operations and leadership to strengthen quality systems, monitor metrics, and push for regulatory compliance with a data-driven approach.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, deep microbiology and brewing knowledge, and the ability to deliver improvements while aligning with safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Food/Brewing Science, Microbiology, Engineering or related field is required; MBA is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of brewing and packaging processes, including CIP/COP sanitation.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, pest control and allergen control. Familiarity with GFSI standards (BRC, FSSC22000, SQF etc.) is a plus.
  • At least five years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to extract and use data for process improvement.
  • Ability to cross-functionally move between departments and divisions. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Quality and coordinate initiatives in the Brewery to ensure integrity in quality procedures and certifications according to regulations.
  • Track and monitor all quality metrics including Food Safety, Microbiology, Consumer Complaints, etc.
  • Interact with government agencies/officials on food safety issues and inspections for the Brewery.
  • Lead continuous improvement of Quality policies and metrics; monitor critical control points for consistency and quality.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance in area of responsibility and ensure SOPs are followed.
  • Monitor production plans to maintain quality and meet schedules.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The BPM, Quality Assurance role leads key quality initiatives supporting Brewing Quality Assurance at the Los Angeles Brewery, with a focus on food safety, microbiology, sanitation, quality performance, and continuous improvement. This position partners closely with operations and brewery leadership to strengthen quality systems, monitor critical metrics, support regulatory compliance, and drive improvements across the brewery. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical quality experience, and a data-driven approach to problem solving.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will support Quality and coordinate initiatives in the Brewery that will ensure integrity in Quality procedures and certifications according to agencies/government regulations.
  • Primary responsibility for tracking andmonitoring all Quality critical metrics including Food Safety, Microbiology, Consumer Complaints, etc.
  • Considered a domain specialist on food safety laws. Interact with government agencies/officials on food safety issues and inspections for the Brewery.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of Quality policies and associated important metrics in support of Qualityprocedures.
  • Lead development and monitoring of all critical control points to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Lead efforts in the brewery to improve Quality and the effectiveness of plant cleaning and sanitation programs. Evaluate new suppliers of products and equipmentin order toreduce costs and improve results.
  • Utilize VPO tools to achieve critical metric targets and close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, Gap Analysis, MCRS meeting schedules and action logs, 5 - Why’s, PDCA and SDCA cycles, etc.).
  • Drive ownership and results via Autonomous Team Strategy
  • Responsible for financial performance of area.
  • Responsible for driving actions and leading improvement in team engagement
  • Oversee preventative maintenance work in area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are being followed.
  • Monitor production plans to maintain quality and accomplish current and future schedules.
  • Ensure that quality and safety standards are met.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
