Job summary

Alkegen seeks a senior Quality leader to direct the daily operations of the Quality department at the New Carlisle facility and provide clear direction to drive world class customer service. The role reports to the Plant Manager and guides investigations, corrective actions, and ISO 9001 compliance across the site.

The position requires 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong SPC proficiency, and the ability to manage the QA system, drive improvements, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or quality preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience focused within Manufacturing Operations as a leader, particularly in continuous, high-volume setting.
  • Proven leadership and management skills required.
  • Proficiency in SPC is required.
  • Strong computer skills required (Excel, Access, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 is required.
  • IATF implementation is preferred.
  • Must be able to function as a member of a team.
  • Self-starter capable of operating independently.
  • Must be able to maintain expected quality KPIs.
  • Comply with all site-related policies and procedures.
  • Ability to organize high volumes of work and information.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the Quality Assurance process, including planning, engineering, and auditing activities.
  • Implement the objectives and culture for the Quality Assurance Team.
  • Collaborate with plant teams to provide guidance, expertise, and leadership.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions in customer concerns and inquiries.
  • Manage the Quality System for the facility and ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Provide product-specific expertise to support Sales, Marketing and Technical teams.
  • Lead the Quality and Cost Improvement Projects.
  • Supervise and lead the Quality Assurance team at the New Carlisle facility.
  • Provide communications to the team regularly.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization across facilities.
  • Install best practice testing techniques and measurement systems.
  • Expand employees' knowledge through training and certification.
  • Drive cohesive working relationships among employees and peers.
  • Facilitate monthly quality improvement team activities.
  • Manage internal auditing process.
  • Maintain specifications for final products and raw materials.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of control plans.
  • Manage ISO certification and maintenance of the system.
  • Support plant trials and the APQP program.

Job Summary:

Thiskey leadershipposition reports to the Plant Manager andis responsible foremanging the daily functions of the Quality departmentand providingcleardirectionto driveworld classcustomer service.

Job Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Direct the entire Quality Assurance process, which includes planning, engineering, and auditing activities.

  • Implement theobjectivesand culture for the QualityAssurance Team

  • Collaboratewith all plant teamsto offer guidance,expertise, and leadership

  • Leadinvestigations and corrective actions intocustomer concerns and inquiries

  • Managethe Quality System for the facility and assure compliancetothe ISO9001 requirements

  • Provideproduct specificexpertisetosupport the Sales,Marketingandtechnicalteamswithin the ITM business unit

  • Lead the Qualityand CostImprovement Projects

  • Supervise, direct,and lead the Quality Assuranceteam in the New Carlisle facility

  • Provide communications to theteam on a regular basis

  • Provide leadership to the Quality Assurance team and plant-wide groupsin order todrive continuous improvement in the facility

  • Install best practice testing techniques and methodstodrive effective quality measurement systems

  • Expandemployees’knowledge through training and certification

  • Drive cohesive working relationships among employees and peers

  • Manage the plant Quality System anddrive/leadimprovement

  • Facilitate monthlyqualityimprovementteam activities

  • Manage internal auditing process

  • Maintain specifications for final products and raw materials

  • Assistin the development and maintenance ofcontrolplans

  • Manage ISO certification and maintenance of the system

  • Intercompany Support

  • Support plant trials, working closely with theProcess Engineering andAlkegenR&Dteams

  • Support the APQPprogram to developnew products

  • Establish and support standardization practices between facilities

  • Customer Support

  • Complete required customer-driven audits

  • Prepare PPAP’s as required by our customers

  • Providedata as requested/required by customers

  • Corrective Actions

  • Managethe Corrective Action Request System

  • Drive root-cause analysisto achieve effective root-cause solutions (8D, fishbone,and 5 Whys)

  • Participateinthe management of the facility through the site Steering Committee

  • Activelyparticipatein the plant safetyprogram

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

Education:
