Job summary

Vallourec North America in Muskogee, OK seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to supervise QA staff and guide technical activities to ensure products meet customer specs and quality plans. The role leads the Quality System, audits, corrective actions, and field investigations, while supporting operations and sales with technical oversight.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering: Materials/Metallurgical preferred.
• 10+ years in API tubular manufacturing or related industry.
• Leadership of Quality or Operations in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with API QI and ISO 9001 auditing.
• Experience with OCTG Distributors a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership in Quality and Operations.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, SPC and related tools.

At Vallourec, we are seeking individuals whose passion and dedication match the strength and resilience of the steel we produce. The Quality Assurance Manager will provide general supervision and technical guidance to QA Staff in the Muskogee Star facility. Ensures all products shipped to customers meet customer requirements and are compliant with technical specifications. Also, responsible for implementing plans for and execute the Quality portion of the Integrated Management System. This position is the designated Quality Management Representative for the facility.

Your Role at a Glance

• Manage the Quality System and maintain certifications
• Manage internal and external audits with QSE Manager
• Manage system for corrective and preventative actions
• Lead Quality Department and Quality Engineers
• Provide technical support for Operations and Sales
• Lead field service investigations and claim resolution
• Manage laboratory activities and budgets
• Lead product development and design activities
• Lead utilization of statistical quality methods
• Manage Quality reporting and implement Quality Plans
• Manage inspection process and subcontractors
• Share leadership of Supplier Quality Management

What Sets You Apart

We're looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:

• Must possess a Degree in Engineering: Materials/Metallurgical Engineering preferred
• A minimum of 10 years' experience with API Tubular manufacturing or related industry.
• Management of Quality or Operations function in manufacturing situation — Actually leading teams in implementation of Quality tools
• Experience with API QI and IS09001 and auditing
• Experience with OCTG Distributors and Users a plus
• Demonstrated leadership skills in Quality and Operations of Industrial sector
• Experienced in leading teams in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, SPC and other Quality and Process improvement tools
