Job summary

RecruitAbility Ltd. seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to lead a growing team at a 40-person aerospace and defense manufacturing site. You’ll supervise inspectors and quality engineers, working daily with production and engineering to resolve on-the-floor issues.

You’ll bring a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 10+ years QA leadership in aerospace/defense, and AS9100/ISO 9001 expertise with auditor certification. NASA standards knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, math, or related field.
• 10+ years managing quality assurance in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 experience with AS9100 auditor certification required.
• Lead auditor certification preferred; NASA standards knowledge required.

Job description

Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to succeed its retiring manager at a 40-person aerospace and defense manufacturing site. You’ll lead a team of about eight, including inspectors and quality engineers, and work daily with production and engineering to resolve issues on the manufacturing floor.

What You’ll Do

• Coach the quality team and set daily inspection and quality engineering priorities.
• Oversee the quality management system, lead audit preparation, and follow corrective actions through completion.
• Use drawings, schematics, and inspection data to investigate hardware issues and explain findings to customers.

What You’ll Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, math, or a related field and 10+ years managing quality assurance in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• At least five years working with AS9100, ISO 9001, or both. AS9100 auditor certification is required. Lead auditor certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of or certification in the J-STD-001 Space Addendum and at least one NASA workmanship standard (NASA-STD-8739.1 or NASA-STD-8739.3).
