Quality Assurance Manager
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager for a client based in the Central Valley. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality and safety of the company's products, ensuring they meet customer expectations and regulatory standards. The role requires a proactive leader who can manage and develop quality assurance systems and processes effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality systems: Create and maintain quality control measures, processes, and standards for all products purchased and manufactured.
- Oversee testing and inspection: Manage product testing and inspection to ensure products are free of defects and meet specifications.
- Product assignment: Review customer requirements and assign products to support daily orders, coordinating with the sales team for customer approval of testing fees as necessary.
- Hold-back management: Monitor product purchases and production to ensure FDA holdbacks are maintained to support programs.
- Quality Documentation: Respond to customer requests for quality documentation, working with manufacturers/co-packers to complete required documentation.
- Sales and Product Development Support: Answer questions regarding inventory related to product specifications and availability, supporting the Product Development team as necessary.
- Manage staff: Hire, train, and supervise the quality assurance team.
- Analyze data and drive improvements: Analyze product/lot data and communicate with ownership/management and sales regarding quality issues, including monitoring of expired inventory.
- Manage Customer Feedback: Serve as the first point of contact for responding to customer complaints, tracking and logging deficiencies and/or responses.
- Liaison: Work with Co-Pack facilities and vendors to qualify and review programs for compliance, conduct site audits/inspections, and oversee all quality concerns/issues as a result of vendor/co-packer use. Collaborate with third-party laboratories for testing.
Qualifications and Position Requirements:
- Food Science Degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience with TraceGains.
- FSVP Certification/trained.
- PCQI Training.
- HACCP Certified.
- Auditing/Inspection Experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask and deal with changing priorities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, 1st shift.

The salary range for this supervisory position is $80,000 to $120,000 per year.
