Job summary

Rev-A-Shelf in Louisville, KY seeks a Quality Assurance professional to audit internal and external processes, communications and policies to ensure products meet customer-defined standards. You will develop documentation detailing company standards for employee adherence.

Responsibilities include developing quality procedures, driving corrective actions with cross-functional teams, reviewing customer complaints, and facilitating Advanced Product Planning discussions. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specs.
• Read English and basic math skills; attention to detail.

Job description

Position Summary: Responsible for auditing internal and external processes, communications and policies. Ensure that every product meets a certain set of standards which they determine based on customer expectations. Develop documentation detailing company standards which employees are expected to adhere to.

Position responsibilities:

• Develop Quality procedures and systems


• Drive corrective action activity from initiation to closure through working with cross-functional teams


• Review and evaluate customer complaints and resolve in a timely manner


• Facilitate Advanced Product Planning discussions and coordinate implementation into product lines.


• Train necessary personnel on quality inspection and assurance methods


• Overtime as needed


• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential skills and experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Basic computer skills, including general familiarity of computer systems/typing


• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings


• Ability to motivate others to achieve established goals


• Ability to assign people task based upon given directions


• Read English and Basic Math Skills

Preferred skills and experience:

• Knowledge of various types of materials a plus (wood, plastic molding, plating, wire construction, etc.)


• Knowledge of ISO, QS, or TS


• Six Sigma and Lean knowledge a plus


• 4-6 years relevant experience

Reporting to this position: Quality Assurance Department

Physical Demands: Subjected to lifting fifty (50) pounds, Repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing and sitting, with or without accommodation.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
