Job summary

The role requires 11+ years in QA leadership, strong data validation, and hands-on testing across enterprise EHR modules in Agile/Hybrid environments. Onsite Austin, TX preferred.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced QA/Test Manager to lead quality assurance strategy, governance, planning, and execution for a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) SaaS implementation. This role will oversee end-to‑end testing activities, including data migration validation, ETL testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and vendor coordination to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Leadership

• Lead the overall QA strategy, governance, planning, and execution for enterprise EHR implementation projects.
• Develop testing methodologies, schedules, resource plans, and governance processes.
• Serve as the primary QA point of contact for project leadership, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Track testing progress, risks, defects, and quality metrics throughout the project lifecycle.

EHR Testing & Data Validation

• Lead testing efforts across EHR modules including clinical, scheduling, orders, medications, documentation, and billing.
• Validate end-to‑end clinical and administrative workflows.
• Lead data migration validation from legacy EHR and ancillary systems.
• Validate patient, pharmacy, billing, clinical, and historical data for completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation.
• Review ETL processes, data mapping documents, validation rules, and reconciliation reports.
• Perform pre-load and post-load validation, record counts, field‑level verification, and exception analysis.

Integration & UAT

• Coordinate interface testing for inbound/outbound data feeds and downstream reporting.
• Lead system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Support SaaS configuration validation and vendor release testing.
• Partner with business and clinical SMEs to develop UAT scenarios and test cases.
• Facilitate defect triage, retesting, and deployment readiness.

Test Management

• Develop and maintain:
• Test Plans
• Test Cases
• Traceability Matrices
• Test Evidence
• Manage defects using Azure DevOps, Jira, ALM, or similar tools.
• Support both manual and automated testing initiatives.
• Ensure documentation satisfies audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience as a QA Lead or QA/Test Manager.
• 11+ years of hands‑on experience with:
• Data validation
• ETL testing
• 11+ years leading functional testing across enterprise EHR modules.
• 11+ years validating data migration from legacy EHR and ancillary systems.
• 11+ years coordinating interface testing and downstream integrations.
• 11+ years creating and maintaining:
• Test Plans
• Test Cases
• Traceability Matrices
• Test Evidence
• Experience coordinating testing with vendors and cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, ALM, or similar test management platforms.
• Experience working in Agile and Hybrid delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise EHR implementations.
• Knowledge of healthcare standards including:
• HL7
• FHIR
• CCD
• ICD
• CPT
• Experience with HIPAA, healthcare privacy, and security compliance.
• Experience supporting state government or public‑sector healthcare organizations.

Additional Requirements

• Onsite position in Austin, Texas.
• Local Texas candidates only. Candidates must already reside in Texas; out‑of‑state candidates planning to relocate will not be considered.
• Standard business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
