Job summary

FCC Curtiss Wright Flow Control Corp in California is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the Quality Assurance operation across engineering, manufacturing, projects, and customer activities.

You will provide leadership to QA engineers, oversee project-specific QA activities, and ensure products meet customer, regulatory, contractual, and company requirements; instill a culture of prevention and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline, or equivalent.
• 7+ years in Quality Assurance management, preferably in regulated manufacturing.
• Audits, nonconformance, corrective actions, root-cause analysis and quality improvement.
• Interpret customer, contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Projects.
• Experience with nuclear industry standards such as ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ISO 9001, and/or ISO 19443.
• Lead Auditor or Quality Auditor certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the QA engineering and project quality organization.
• Assign and prioritize QA resources to projects and company initiatives.
• Provide QA leadership through contract review, manufacturing, testing, inspection and delivery.
• Ensure project quality requirements are identified and implemented.
• Provide QA oversight of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, testing, and final release.
• Interface with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and customers on quality matters.
• Monitor project quality performance, nonconformances, corrective actions, and quality metrics.
• Ensure QA personnel are trained and qualified for their roles.
