Job summary

Spherion Mid Ohio is partnering with a Wooster, OH electronics manufacturer to hire a Quality Assurance Leader for 1st shift. The role owns the Quality Management System, ensures ISO compliance, and supports AS9100 alignment.

The position is direct hire with a strong hands-on quality background, offering ownership of the quality function in a small-company environment and growth opportunities as ERP systems are implemented.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on manufacturing quality experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO quality systems and compliance.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems, audits, corrective action, and continuous improvement.
• Confidence communicating with customers and working across departments.
• Strong judgment and the ability to push back when product quality is at risk.
• Curious, hands-on mindset with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System.
• Maintain ISO compliance and support AS9100 certification.
• Prepare for and participate in audits (customer, supplier, internal, third-party).
• Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead corrective and preventive action processes.
• Manage non-conforming material and quality concerns.
• Work with customers regarding quality questions and corrective actions.
• Partner with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Perform hands-on inspections on the production floor.
• Maintain quality documentation, calibration, ESD, and related programs.
• Help integrate Quality processes into a new ERP system.
• Lead and support one experienced Quality Assurance Specialist.
• Hold product when quality standards are not met.
