Job summary

Roppe is seeking a Quality Manager to ensure products meet established standards through hands-on inspection and process verification. You will partner with production to drive quality across daily activities and implement corrective actions to resolve concerns.

You will use calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions, maintain records, train staff, and lead audits. This role emphasizes continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Experience reading blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
• Proficient using calipers, micrometers, and thickness gauges.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee inspections of finished products and in-process materials to verify conformance.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and specifications.
• Inspect products for visual defects, thickness, color, finish, and conformance to specs.
• Monitor production processes for adherence to quality standards.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate defects and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and nonconformance reports.
• Train employees on quality expectations and inspection techniques.
• Verify first article inspections and conduct quality audits on production.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, inspection procedures, and quality docs.
• Coordinate containment for nonconforming materials and products.
• Support customer complaint investigations and corrective actions as needed.
• Promote continuous improvement to reduce scrap and improve quality.
