Job summary

Amcor in Wytheville, VA, is seeking a Quality Auditor with authority to assist the Quality Manager in directing internal quality functions and to cover duties in the manager's absence. The role includes supporting ISO/GMP audits, calibration programs, and corrective actions, with travel to customer or vendor sites as needed.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure quality standards, write and implement procedures, and maintain vendor and customer data, reporting findings to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• Submit to and pass a local Quality aptitude test with a minimum score of 70%.
• Submit to and pass a drug screen test.
• Supervisor recommendation if filling from within.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Successful completion of a recognized SPC course.
• Possess all the skills and abilities required of a Quality Auditor.
• Leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility and authority as outlined in the Quality Manual, SOPs and Instruction Manuals.
• Function within the team/ISO environment.
• Prepare specified training outlines and conduct or coordinate quality and quality-system training.
• Maintain a program of instrument calibration.
• Maintain a program for effective follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in internal and external documented quality system and GMP audits.
• Maintain regular contact with customers and supply data and reports as required.
• Maintain vendor records and supply data and reports as required.
• Write and/or coordinate the writing of and assist in implementation of procedures, policies and instructions.
• Coordinate department activities and supervise the assigned Quality Auditors during the absence of the Quality Manager and at other times as directed by the Quality Manager or Plant Manager.
• All duties and responsibilities of a Quality Auditor.
• Assist with or coordinate activities regarding automatic inspection devices.
• Travel to customer, vendor or other job related locations.
