IT Resources Innovation seeks a Quality Assurance Lead to oversee QA for information systems projects, IT infrastructure, and electronic payments, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality across teams.

The candidate will manage QA strategies, risk controls, and documentation, enabling successful implementations and audits in a Puerto Rico location. Bilingual Spanish/English and PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with functional, integration, API, regression, security, performance, UAT, data migration and deployment validation testing.
• Located in Puerto Rico, with ability to work on site.
• Proven track record managing complex technology projects.

Job description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead in the information systems field with experience in programming projects, IT infrastructure, electronic payments, implementations, validation and quality assurance (QA) processes, and compliance with existing regulatory standards in industry, federal, and state areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guarantees systems and applications comply with applicable laws, policies, regulations, and industry standards.
• Stays informed about regulatory changes that may impact MIS systems.
• Evaluates and recommends improvements to policies, and procedures related to technology systems ensuring practical and applicable within the operational environment.
• Defines the quality standards that must be met establishing the methods, tools, and resources.
• Develops strategies to mitigate risks, including necessary controls and procedures.
• Prepares and presents reports on compliance status and quality assurance issues stakeholders delivering constant updates of the different project stages.
• Ensures all projects are on track within project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
• Records, classifies, and analyzes system incidents or defects.
• Prioritizes fixes and support responses to technological incidents (failures, security breaches, etc.).
• Develops manuals, training materials, sample displays, or documents needed to ensure successful implementation, and completion.
• Develops software solutions documentation such as layouts, requirements tables, flow charts, etc.
• Prepares weekly reports and updates as needed, status reports by gathering and summarizing relevant information.
• Ensures response plans include legal and compliance considerations.

Position Requirements:

• Candidates should have experience with software testing practices such as functional testing, integration testing, API testing, regression testing, security testing, performance testing, UAT, data migration testing, and deployment validation.
• Candidate needs to be located in PUERTO RICO.
• Proven experience in complex technology projects.
• Ability to perform both manual and automated technical testing.
• Strong skills in drafting technical reports and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
• Preferred certification in Quality Assurance or equivalent accreditation.
• Proficient in both languages, Spanish and English.

Work Experience:

• 5 - 8 years of professional experience in IT Project Management.
• Leads QA efforts in complex technology projects.
• Works with highly regulated frameworks.
• Experience with manual and automated testing, QA tools, and methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
• Experience using PM tools such as GitHub, MS Project, SCORO, PROOFHUB, etc.
• Experience working with SLAs terms, metrics, time responses, guarantees, etc.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Information Systems, Master or related PM discipline or equivalent years of relevant experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a Must Have.
