Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control support role to assist daily plant operations, product evaluations, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.

The candidate will participate in quality improvement projects, collect and analyze quality data, and work with cross-functional teams to understand plant operations and requirements. Flexibility for overtime and a strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelors' degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Interest in food manufacturing, quality assurance, and food safety systems.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Working knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Willingness to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams with daily plant operations and quality-related activities.
• Assist with product evaluations, inspections, testing, and documentation for compliance with quality and food safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement projects focused on processes, product quality, and efficiency.
• Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends and support decision-making.
• Assist with sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and food safety program verification activities.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, laboratory, and quality teams to understand operations and requirements.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for the Quality team.

Support internal audits, process reviews, and compliance initiatives. Collaborate with production, maintenance, laboratory, and quality teams to understand plant operations and quality requirements. Learn and apply regulatory, customer, and Saputo quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for the Quality team. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you… Are pursuing a bachelors' degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field (preferred), or have equivalent experience. Have an interest in food manufacturing, quality assurance, and food safety systems. Are able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Have a working knowledge of computer programs (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.). Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team. Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times. Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed. Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality. Can communicate effectively and efficiently.
