Core Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Overtime: Friday overtime as production needs require

Own Quality Across Two Precision Manufacturing Facilities

An established precision manufacturer is hiring an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to support operations in both Champaign and Fisher. This position performs detailed inspections across machining, forming, welding, and assembly processes.

The selected candidate must be able to report to and work at both locations based on the inspection schedule and production priorities.

What You’ll Do

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections throughout production
• Verify products against customer requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and applicable standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Inspect components using CMM equipment, Romer measurement systems, and optical comparators
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures, and additional precision tools
• Complete first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Identify and report nonconforming materials or components
• Work with quality leadership and production supervisors to address defects
• Complete first-article and PPAP documentation
• Support scheduling and planning teams with priority inspections
• Create and update reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Apply ISO 9001 quality concepts, practices, and procedures

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control inspection experience
• Previous manufacturing-quality experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Ability to document inspection results accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Ability to work at both the Champaign and Fisher facilities

Preferred Experience

• Five or more years of welding or fabrication experience
• Welding certifications
• Experience inspecting machined, formed, welded, or assembled components
• CMM, Romer, or optical-comparator operation
• First-article inspection and PPAP documentation
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems

Physical and Work Environment

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
• Lift and manually handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Work around machinery, sheet metal, dust, and industrial noise
• Use required personal protective equipment
• Work across two local manufacturing facilities
