Job description

Amphenol Pcd is looking to add a temporary Quality Assurance Inspector - Level II to our Beverly, MA team!

Job Summary:

Inspect product to ensure incoming electrical, in-process, and final inspection material meets internal and customer requirements. Work with production to meet the needs of our internal customers.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Complete mechanical, visual, and electrical inspections for cable assembly and legacy products.
2. Maintain quality records using data collection software or logs.
3. Fill out records for suspect material.
4. Transfer product using ERP system.
5. Support RMA/MRB activities as required.
6. Perform inspections in multiple areas of operation.
7. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI).
8. Identify problems and communicate findings effectively using photos, PowerPoint, and data.
9. Maintain a high work pace.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Ability to read English and follow procedures.
• Intermediate understanding of 2D engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of soldering standards (IPC-620, J-Std).
• Experience with optical comparators and/or CMM.
• Familiarity with MRP systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of sampling techniques.
• Ability to check dimensions in decimal and metric units.
• Experience with WinSPC or similar database systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to interpret advanced engineering drawings.
• IPC 620 certification is required.
• Experience with shelf life and hazardous material labeling.

Required Training:

• Macola, WinSPC, Individual QWI's, IPC/WHMA-A-620A.

Educational Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.
