Job summary

R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. at DFW International Airport in Dallas, TX is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our on-site team.

You will oversee construction quality assurance inspection, surveillance, and documentation across multiple projects, serving as the on-site technical representative. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, English communication skills, and 3 years of field inspection experience in construction.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
• Three (3) years of construction and engineering experience directly related to general field inspection.
• Experience with Airport/Aviation construction is desirable.
• Prior experience at DFW airport is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes applicable codes, standards and specifications, and monitors construction activities for compliance with the Inspection and Testing Plan.
• Monitors various field construction installations in accordance with the specifications.
• Performs general inspection of construction work for compliance with contract documents.
• Prepares Inspectors Daily Reports (IDRS) for DFW and fills out appropriate inspection checklist for specific work under their oversight.
• Assist The DFW Quality Assurance Manager to monitor Contractor’s implementation of Contractor Quality Control (CQC) program by monitoring the performance.
• Interfaces with PM / CM management teams on all quality related issues.
• Documents any quality related issues that result in an Issue or Nonconformance Report.Assist in verifying that various worksites are compliant with FAR 139, if applicable.
• Inform the DFW QA Coordinator of issues in real time.
• Inspects material for compliance with contract documents, approves submittals, and field orders.
• Provides and uploads progress photos.
• Execute the Inspector Daily Report (IDR) at the end of each shift and attach them to the weekly timesheet in Unifier.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of construction quality field inspection and applicable specifications.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to perform tasks.
• Ability to communicate with project team staff or others.
• Available and flexible to work 24/7/365, if requested.
• Able to work various weekly schedules that may not be consistent from week to week.
• Able to take direction, carry out tasks in an expeditious manner, and provide feedback to enhance the overall quality process and department.

Job Offer:

• Competitive base salary between $70–90K, depending on project assignment, experience, skills, and location.
