Quality Assurance Inspector - First/Second Shifts

A manufacturing company is seeking Quality Inspectors who will work to maintain company's high-quality standards, ensure parts are of the highest quality, and meet all quality specifications. There is an opening on both first and second shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform first-piece for any job start-up or secondary operation start-up and use proper scanning procedures for all products
  • Complete all required quality documentation legibly and completely and file or forward to appropriate area
  • Communicate with previous shift to clearly understand any quality problems encountered during their shift
  • Check parts for compliance to quality standards, first piece displayed samples, quality characteristics, and visual non-conformances
  • Ensure the operators are performing job properly and are aware of proper work instructions
  • Verify and record weights at each press at least twice a shift verify proper materials, box quantities, labels, bags, screws, assembly items, and boxes are being used
  • Check cycle times of each operation, audit parts or assemblies, and package according to instructions
  • Use scales, check fixtures, gages, or other similar equipment
  • Perform other duties as needed

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year's experience in a manufacturing environment or similar experience, preferably in plastics
  • Must have the ability to correctly follow specifications or instructions
  • Must have a good mechanical aptitude with the ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong organization and planning skills with ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to work efficiently and safely, work independently or with minimal direction, and pay a high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels is needed
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
