LayerZero Power Systems LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for the 2nd shift at our on-site facility in Aurora, Ohio. Responsibilities include inspecting and testing products, ensuring they meet specifications, and maintaining safe work conditions.

Calibrations and layered process audits are part of ongoing duties. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and experience reading blueprints and assembly drawings.

Qualifications

• Ability to use hand-held tools and electronic devices to perform job duties, including micrometers, calipers, and Torque Wrenches.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Must follow directions and interpret drawings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Inspects samples from each lot to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Communicates with employees to ensure job functions respect quality.
• Trains employees on measuring equipment and ensures calibration and proper use.
• Approves incoming materials by verifying specs and inspecting visually and measurably.
• Approves in-process production and communicates rejection issues per procedures.
• Inspects finished products by confirming specs and visual/measurement checks.
• Documents inspection results and signs off on work orders.

Position Description: Quality Assurance Inspector- 2nd Shift

The main objective of a Quality Assurance Inspector at LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. is to ensure that products meet predefined standards and meet and/or exceed customer expectations. Duties may include measuring products compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.

Requirements

Primary Duties:

• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
• Ensures all product quality specifications are met by inspecting samples from each lot for defects.
• Communicate with employees to ensure that job functions are carried out with respect to quality.
• Train and observe employees while using measuring equipment, ensuring such equipment is in good condition, calibrated and is being used properly.
• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; rejecting unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; communicating rejection issues per company procedures.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement verifications.
• Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and rejection documents as required. When products pass inspection, inspectors sign off on the work order/inspection documents.
• Inspects assemblies for completeness and accuracy; performs final checks on completed products.
• Perform calibrations to the measuring equipment as per annual calibration plan.
• Perform LPA (Layered Process Audits) to the production floor as programmed.

Experience & Skills:

• Ability to use hand-held tools and electronic devices to perform job duties, including micrometers, calipers, and Torque Wrenches.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
