Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for the 2nd shift in Aurora, OH. This on-site role focuses on ensuring product quality, conducting inspections, and verifying dimensional conformance with drawings.

The position requires safe work practices and hands-on calibration of measuring equipment on the production floor. The ideal candidate will read blueprints, operate micrometers/calipers and torque wrenches, and maintain detailed inspection records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability toread and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment to verify quality and dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following procedures.
• Inspect samples from each lot to verify product quality against specs.
• Communicate with team to ensure quality procedures are followed.
• Train others in use of measuring equipment and calibration checks.
• Approve incoming materials by verifying specs and rejecting nonconforming items.
• Approve in-process production and finished products through visual and measurement verifications.
• Document inspection results and sign off on work orders as required.
• Inspect assemblies for completeness and accuracy and perform final checks.
• Perform calibrations to measuring equipment per calibration plan.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits on the production floor as scheduled.

Position Description: Quality Assurance Inspector- 2nd Shift

The main objective of a Quality Assurance Inspector at LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. is to ensure that products meet predefined standards and meet and/or exceed customer expectations. Duties may include measuring products compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.

Requirements

Primary Duties:

• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
• Ensures all product quality specifications are met by inspecting samples from each lot for defects.
• Communicate with employees to ensure that job functions are carried out with respect to quality.
• Train and observe employees while using measuring equipment, ensuring such equipment is in good condition, calibrated and is being used properly.
• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; rejecting unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; communicating rejection issues per company procedures.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement verifications.
• Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and rejection documents as required. When products pass inspection, inspectors sign off on the work order/inspection documents.
• Inspects assemblies for completeness and accuracy; performs final checks on completed products.
• Perform calibrations to the measuring equipment as per annual calibration plan.
• Perform LPA (Layered Process Audits) to the production floor as programmed.

Experience & Skills:

• Ability to use hand-held tools and electronic devices to perform job duties, including micrometers, calipers, and Torque Wrenches.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
