Job summary

Jetseal Inc. is seeking a quality inspector to ensure parts meet exact specifications through incoming, in-process and final checks. You will measure with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, read travelers and specs, and document results to support production quality.

• Very detail oriented and precise in measuring and documentation.
• Able to read and interpret job travelers and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with Supervisors and peers; work with multiple departments.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required for entry-level qualification.

Responsibilities

• Performs incoming, in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, height gauges and inspection loops.
• Reads internal data like job travelers or specs to determine inspection requirements and documents results.
• Confirms job traveler accuracy and collaborates with peers on accuracy.
• Completes change documents, manufacturing receipts and inventory sheets.
• Communicates effectively with Supervisors and peers.
• Occasionally calibrates inspection equipment.

Work with production teams to inspect and ensure the highest-level quality parts reach our customers. Following detailed quality instructions, you will handle first and final part checks, rejecting any parts that don’t meet our requirements.

• Read internal data such as job travelers or specifications to determine inspection requirements & document results of inspection
• Confirm job traveler accuracy, work with peers on job traveler accuracy
• Complete change documents, manufacturing receipts, and inventory sheets.
• Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Peers
• Occasional calibration of inspection equipment

Requirements

• Very detail oriented

Work environment

Well-lit and clean with moderate noise level. Position may have direct contact with various metal materials as well as occasional chemical (Acetone) exposure during part cleaning.

• Sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Fine hand motor manipulation
• Ability to use hand and foot controls
• 20/20 eyesight with or without accommodation

Required education and experience

• Basic math skills

Preferred education and experience

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Familiarity of aerospace manufacturing standards
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Must have vision (natural or corrected) 20/30 or better

Pay Range $19.00 - $20.00 / hour
