Job summary

Peli BioThermal in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure materials and final products meet established quality standards.

You will perform inspections across incoming, in-process, first article, and final stages, review supplier documentation, and support non-conformance investigations to keep products safe for customers. Join a team focused on accuracy, traceability, and collaboration with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a two-year technical degree is preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, testing, or related environment.
  • Familiarity with inspecting, testing, sampling, or sorting manufactured products and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, first article, customer return, and final product inspections.
  • Read and interpret specifications, drawings, inspection requirements, and other technical documentation.
  • Issue acceptance or rejection documentation based on inspection results and ensure non-conforming materials are properly identified and controlled.
  • Support Non-Conformance investigations and assist with resolving material and inspection issues.
  • Support quality transactions within SAP QM and review Certificates of Analysis for accuracy.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you’ll play an important role in ensuring the materials and products used in our temperature-controlled packaging solutions meet established quality standards. You’ll perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections, review supplier documentation, support non-conformance investigations, and help ensure products are ready before they reach our customers.

  • Perform incoming, in-process, first article, customer return, and final product inspections.
  • Conduct physical and visual inspections of raw materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products against established specifications and inspection plans.
  • Inspect staged products prior to shipment to ensure quality requirements have been met.
  • Read and interpret specifications, drawings, inspection requirements, and other technical documentation.
  • Issue acceptance or rejection documentation based on inspection results and ensure non-conforming materials are properly identified and controlled.
  • Initiate and support Non-Conformance investigations and assist with resolving material and inspection issues.
  • Support quality transactions within SAP, including QM notifications, material information, and applicable quality codes.
  • Generate Certificates of Conformance and review supplier Certificates of Analysis for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support product identification and traceability requirements throughout the inspection process.
  • Review batch records, calibration information, and other quality documentation to verify accuracy and compliance.
  • Enter inspection results and key quality metrics into applicable systems for tracking, trending, and monitoring.
  • Participate in operational meetings and communicate inspection status, quality concerns, and material issues that could impact production.
  • Work with Production, Operations, Supply Chain, and other teams to resolve quality and material questions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records while following established quality, safety, and housekeeping requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equal. required. A two-year technical degree is preferred.
  • Experience within manufacturing, quality inspection, testing, or a related environment.
  • Familiarity with inspecting, testing, sampling, or sorting manufactured products and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate quality records.
  • General computer skills, including the ability to enter and maintain information in Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
  • Ability to work with basic inspection and testing equipment and learn new test procedures.
  • Ability to communicate quality concerns clearly and work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working within a recognized quality program such as ISO, ASTM, or GMP.
  • Experience performing incoming, in-process, first article, or final inspections.
  • Experience with SAP, particularly SAP Quality Management or similar ERP quality functions.
  • Experience supporting non-conformance investigations and quality documentation.
  • Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
