Job description

The role of a Quality Assurance Inspector is critical to ensuring that all products and assemblies meet established quality standards before reaching customers. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth inspections throughout the manufacturing process, with a special emphasis on both in-process and final inspections. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where attention to detail, adherence to documentation, and teamwork are paramount. Working in High Point, NC, provides employees access to a thriving manufacturing sector and a supportive professional community.

Quality Assurance Inspectors play a vital part in overseeing the integrity of assemblies and components by reviewing blueprints, schematics, job routers, and supporting documentation to verify that every step of the production process meets rigorous quality requirements. This ensures that only products conforming to the highest industry standards are approved for shipment or further assembly, helping maintain the company’s reputation for excellence and reliability.

In this full-time role, the Quality Assurance Inspector is expected to support the manufacturing process by making informed accept or reject decisions, referring questionable parts to the Material Review Board for additional review, and collaborating with diverse teams to achieve optimal quality outcomes. The inspector’s keen eye for detail and ability to interpret technical documentation are crucial assets in maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines.

Successful candidates for the Quality Assurance Inspector position must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A solid background—typically 1 to 3 years—in electro-mechanical assemblies or wire harnesses is highly desirable. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to work effectively under pressure are important, as is the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires frequent collaboration with production teams, engineers, and other quality professionals. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree or work history in electrical or manufacturing engineering principles, as well as IPC 610/620 training. These additional credentials demonstrate a deeper understanding of industry standards and best practices in quality assurance. The position requires US citizenship, reflecting certain compliance or regulatory needs in the field.
