Job summary

Schumacher & Co, America’s leading name for manufacturing and distributing fabric, wallcovering, floorcovering and furnishings, is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our quality team at the distribution center.

The position offers 1st shift 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, guaranteed 40 hours with overtime potential, and opportunities for growth across departments.

You will inspect fabric and wallcovering, verify SKUs, identify defects, and help maintain high standards of shipment quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with quality assurance is preferred.
• Able to stand on feet for long periods and perform repetitive movements.
• Willing to cross-train in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fabric and wallcovering to ensure quality standards.
• Verify SKU numbers and descriptions for accuracy.
• Identify defects for returns and communicate findings clearly.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and be able to operate a forklift if certified.

This person will be part of an integral team responsible for inspecting fabric and wallcovering at our distribution center.

ABOUT THE POSITION

• 1st shift 7:30 am- 4:00 pm
• Guaranteed 40 hours with potential for overtime
• Potential Sign on Bonus
• Inspect all fabric and wallcovering to ensure it meets quality standards
• Verify SKU number and description to ensure accuracy
• Properly identify defects for returns
• Perform repetitive movements
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to certify on a forklift

YOU HAVE/ARE :

• Comfortable being on your feet
• Be organized
• Good communication skills in person and via email.
• Experience with quality assurance is preferred
• Have a no project is too big mindset
• Work well with a growing team with the possibility of advancement
• Always on time for work and have good attendance
• Open to cross-training in other departments
