Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America seeks a Quality Assurance Improvement professional to develop and maintain detailed field quality reports, coordinate improvement activities, and analyze warranty claims to drive product quality.

The role requires strong English communication, experience in automotive quality, and collaboration with multiple departments to implement improvements. This position is based in Ellabell, GA, with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Science, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred.
• 0-5 years of job related experience preferred.
• 1-3 years job related experience in automotive industry desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed reports for field quality status for management (Before sales, 3M, 12M, 36M, WM, CPU, and DPU).
• Respond promptly to data requests from supporting departments and cross-functional teams to expedite quality improvement activities.
• Inform the Improvement Specialist & AM of emerging quality issues based on warranty claim analysis and follow-up on improvement.
• Coordinate and update improvement database to document improvement activities, implementation dates, and current status of quality issues.
• Analyze field claim data & recall/campaign issues and take necessary input/actions.
• Review warranty field claims for correct processing and request changes as necessary.
• Make Early Warning Reports (EWR) for launched models to report and share with HMGMA.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Physical Demands

While in Office:

This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:

• Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed

When in Production Area (if applicable):

• Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
• Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25-30 pounds)
• Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
• Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
• Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
• Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
• Consistent and punctual attendance
• Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
